DISTRICT MOJOKERTO

Mojokerto regency is one of regencies in East Java province with an area of 835.93 km ², including 18 sub-districts and a population of about 936,458 people. In Mojokerto there Trowulan District, who was allegedly at the center of Majapahit kingdom because there are many remnants of the kingdom.

Mojokerto regency has a number of interesting attractions, including; Trowulan as historical tours, and there are temples of the Majapahit Kingdom relics, tombs of the kings of Majapahit, and the Great Hall which is estimated to be right in the center court of Majapahit. Mountainous region in the southern part is the mainstay tourism areas, such as hot water bathing Pacet, vacation villas in Trawas; and there are few places the development of small industries, in the District of Soko as industrial centers of shoes and sandals, at Trowulan there is gold and silver crafts and stone sculpture, and in Ward is famous for its chips rambak and the State Police School.

The number of large and medium industrial enterprises in 2006 about 290 units, consisting of 50 major companies and 240 companies are, where the largest textile industry, garments, leather goods and footwear, totaling 72 companies, while the industry sub-sectors of food, beverages , and tobacco to absorb the labor force 7696 persons. Same with the small and medium enterprises, most of the industries of textile, garments, leather goods and footwear, which is 530 units and 1060 to absorb labor. Exports in 2005 indicates paper is a product of export commodities with the largest volume, but in terms of export value (U.S. $) commodities seasoning (MSG) is the largest.

Food crops such as rice reached 269,566.54 tons, located in District Kutorejo, Dlanggu, and Pungging. For the production of 91,097.77 tons of maize is concentrated in District Delanggu and Dawarblandong.

Husbandry in 2006, the population of Cattle, Goats, Sheep, Chicken, Chicken Petelor, Broiler, and the Ducks tend to increase from time to time. For that, the future needs to be preserved cluster of agriculture and plantation, while promoting the processing industry of agricultural and plantation, as well as build a base of medium and large trades. Therefore, infrastructure development and improvement of human resources in agriculture must not negotiable.
